about.
Created deep within the heart of motherhood, filled with the constant hustle between work, parenting, and everything in between, Take Care Confectionery began as a whimsical idea for women navigating the complexities of modern life. The brainchild of Anna, a mother of 3 with an entrepreneurial spirit, a mental health advocate & trauma survivor, the company was built out of the desire to bring joy and a little levity to the journey of self-care. One dreary afternoon, she sat in her office surrounded by half-finished cups of coffee and a little boredom, if we're being honest, and she reminisced about her path of radical self-acceptance. It was during this heart-to-heart with her inner child that she realized the power of humor in dealing with one's mental health challenges.“Why not create a brand that embodies those silly moments and serves as a reminder to take care of ourselves?” Anna thought to herself, as she gazed out into the yard and watched the raindrops gather on the sil. Anna giggled inwardly, half-incredulous and half-enthusiastic, “Imagine a bottle of mints labeled ‘Socially Awkward Pills’ or gummy bears packaged with a tag that reads ‘Emotional Support Bears.’” Thus, Take Care Confectionery was born—a delightful venture filled with feminine, kitschy treats that would bring smiles while advocating for mental wellness. Her first product line features an assortment of candies with playful names like “Manifest That Shit Mints,” chocolate candies infused with messages of encouragement, and quirky (okay, maybe a little mischievous) gifts accompanied by cheeky self-care quips. Providing comedic relief, a place where women could come to not just indulge their sweet tooth but also find a gift that says “I get you, girl”. Laughter weaved through her candy-colored daydreams as she navigated her self-love journey, each new product name acting as a little reminder to embrace imperfection, celebrate small victories, and, most importantly, be kind to herself. Take Care isn’t just about candy, but also friendship, support, and female empowerment. What started as a small idea that had blossomed over reheated coffee, turned into a new and fun endeavor where women could celebrate their strengths, share their struggles, and indulge in the sweetness of life, one candy at a time. Anna knew she had created something special—a message that taking care of oneself could be both joyful and delicious.
